The role involves maintaining accountability for the delivery, quality, and profitability of civil engineering projects, while mentoring staff and managing budgets, proposals, schedules, and billing.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for multiple project teams
Maintain full accountability for the delivery, quality, and profitability of civil engineering projects—including site design, stormwater management, utilities, and permitting
Mentor staff and advance departmental goals
Lead teams of varying sizes to meet project and organizational objectives
Manage budgets, proposals, schedules, and billing
Oversee workload forecasting, resource planning, and staff development
Prepare and review technical reports, designs, and calculations
Ensure the technical accuracy of all documents produced by staff
Support business development and marketing initiatives
Conduct site visits
Represent the firm at client and agency meetings
Manage department-level forecasting and performance reviews
Stay current with evolving design standards, technology, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate closely with IT and company leadership to enhance technology integration and improve internal processes
Qualification
Required
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
10–15 years of experience in civil site design, stormwater, utilities, and permitting
5+ years of supervisory or project management experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with civil/structural analysis software
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplined teams and manage complex projects
Preferred
Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months
