Senior Commercial Real Estate Transactions Paralegal (Non-Litigation)
Grant, Genovese & Baratta, LLP is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to clients and is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Transactions Paralegal to support a busy transactional practice focused on commercial acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and real estate finance. The role involves managing deal documentation, coordinating due diligence, and improving efficiency within the team.
Responsibilities
Support attorneys in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters
Draft, assemble, and manage deal documentation and ancillary exhibits, including checklists and transaction deliverables
Assist with commercial purchase and sale transactions, including due diligence coordination (title, survey, zoning, environmental, and entity documents)
Coordinate and track title and survey review workflow (including title commitments, exceptions, endorsements, pro formas, ALTA surveys, and objection/response process)
Assist with preparation and organization of closing packages, signature pages, notary coordination, and post-closing deliverables
Support commercial leasing matters (landlord/tenant), including drafting and revising exhibits, abstracts, estoppels, SNDA packages, assignments/consents, and compliance tracking
Support commercial real estate finance matters, including coordination of lender due diligence, organization of loan deliverables, and closing logistics
Maintain and manage closing binders (electronic and/or hard copy) and handle post-closing follow-up
Conduct targeted research using public records and online databases (entity, property, and related transactional records)
Qualification
Required
9+ years' experience as a transactional paralegal with significant commercial real estate deal exposure
ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of commercial real estate deal flow, due diligence processes, and closing mechanics
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail—comfortable managing multiple matters and shifting priorities
Professional, polished communication skills (written and verbal) and strong client-service mindset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management workflows; comfort learning firm systems and templates
Preferred
Notary Public (preferred, not required)
You've supported commercial acquisitions/dispositions from LOI to closing (including diligence tracking and closing coordination)
You're fluent in the basics of title and survey review support (objection letters, endorsements, curing items, coordinating with title officers/surveyors)
You've handled leasing support (abstracts, estoppels, SNDAs, assignments/consents, exhibits)
You've supported commercial real estate finance closings and can keep lender deliverables moving
You have Familiarity with Clio, Litera, and e-recording platforms, plus comfort adopting legal AI tools for transactional support
You're the person who makes closings feel calm, organized, and inevitable
