Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and underwrite opportunistic credit opportunities (public and private), including complex / event-driven situations
Build and review detailed credit models (cash flow, waterfall, recovery analysis, covenant sensitivity, scenario and stress testing)
Lead due diligence workstreams, coordinating with management teams, sponsors, legal advisers, and external consultants
Prepare investment committee materials, credit memos, and transaction presentations
Support structuring and negotiation of terms (covenants, intercreditor, security package, documentation)
Manage execution processes through signing and closing, including documentation and stakeholder coordination
Monitor portfolio positions, track catalysts, and provide periodic updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Contribute to sector coverage and market intelligence across relevant geographies and industries

Required

Typically 5–8 years of relevant experience in credit investing, leveraged finance, private credit, special situations, restructuring, or investment banking (relevant product groups)
Strong underwriting skillset with robust credit judgement and comfort in downside / recovery analysis
Preference for demonstrable exposure to opportunistic / special situations credit (distressed, event-driven, complex capital structures, dislocation-driven opportunities)
Advanced financial modeling and valuation capability; strong accounting and documentation fluency
Clear, concise communication—able to produce high-quality IC materials and engage confidently with counterparties
High ownership mindset; comfortable operating in a lean team with tight timelines
Bachelor's degree required

MBA / CFA helpful but not required
