Responsibilities
Assist with the identification and inventory of suitable properties and project sites
Assist with the management and updating of GV’s Land Database
Assist with the management of land acquisition personnel
Assist with outreach to and communication of deal terms with landowners
Draft land control documents with support of in-house legal team
Track due diligence periods and other land-based timelines
Assist in supporting the development of or developing proformas cost estimates, and/or proposals related to land
Other duties as required of the role
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in developing and implementing real estate acquisition strategies including land use planning, land use regulations, encumbrances (rights of way, easements, etc.)
Ten+ years of direct experience in negotiating real estate acquisition deals (easements, rights of entry, fee title, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Adobe applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Preferred
Knowledge of natural resources, environmental regulations, compensatory mitigation, and/or ecosystem services
