Responsibilities
Monthly close and reconciliation across ~15 LLCs
Oversight of bookkeeping accuracy (QuickBooks/AppFolio or similar)
Review and preparation of clean, reliable financial reports
Cash flow tracking and account-level visibility
1099 / 1098 coordination
K-1 and tax package preparation support (working with CPAs)
Annual reports, BOI filings, and compliance tracking
Ensure filings and deadlines are met across all entities
Bill pay cadence and approvals
Mortgage, insurance, and tax payment tracking
Insurance renewals coordination (with vendors, not shopping policies)
Improve close timelines and reporting consistency
Reduce ad-hoc financial fire drills
Create repeatable, documented finance processes
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or Finance Ops Manager
Comfortable working across multiple entities
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Calm, organized, and process-oriented
Preferred
Real estate experience preferred (brokerage, PM, or investment entities a plus)
