CyberSecurity Senior Manager
Intent Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Manager of Cybersecurity to lead a team of cybersecurity professionals. This role involves overseeing the design and management of the cybersecurity program, ensuring compliance, and reducing risk exposure while actively participating in security operations and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization’s cybersecurity program
Establish and drive cybersecurity roadmaps, ensuring clear prioritization and alignment with business goals
Foster a culture of shared accountability for cybersecurity beyond IT
Oversee and actively participate in security operations, including monitoring, detection, and response
Lead incident response strategy, investigations, remediation, and post-incident reviews
Implement advanced monitoring and automation strategies to improve detection and response times
Oversee threat intelligence and proactively adjust defenses based on emerging threats
Manage vulnerability management programs across servers, applications, and network infrastructure
Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure secure configuration and patching of:
Servers (Windows, Linux, virtualization, cloud workloads)
Network environments (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, segmentation)
Drive strategic security initiatives such as Zero Trust, network segmentation, and identity and access management
Lead cloud security initiatives including workload protection, IAM, and compliance monitoring
Collaborate with application development teams to promote secure coding practices and regular security testing (SAST/DAST)
Lead cyber risk assessments and controls audits using NIST or similar frameworks
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards including:
SOC 1/2, ISO 27001/20001, PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, FINRA, GLBA
Develop, enforce, and monitor security policies, standards, and procedures
Manage third-party and vendor security risk assessments and ongoing monitoring
Establish and chair cross-functional governance forums to drive cybersecurity decision-making and accountability
Embed cybersecurity risk considerations into all BC/DR planning and governance
Establish and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans from a cybersecurity perspective
Define and enforce security controls for DR environments
Oversee incident response handoffs into BC/DR processes to ensure secure system recovery
Monitor and report on cyber-resilience and recovery effectiveness using defined metrics
Lead post-incident reviews with a focus on security lessons learned and future mitigation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field
8 plus of progressive cybersecurity experience, of which at least 3 plus in a management or team lead role
Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, and vulnerability management tools
Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI, SOX)
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to operate effectively in lean or fast-growing organization
Preferred
Master's degree
Cybersecurity Certification such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or other equivalent certification highly preferred
