Full Charge Bookkeeper
Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the comprehensive accounting functions ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial records. This role involves managing financial operations, reporting, payroll, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Conducts the full cycle of AP and AR, including processing vendor invoices, generating client invoices in ServiceTitan, tracking payments, managing collections, and reconciling accounts
Maintain the general ledger, perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, prepare journal entries, and generate accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
Process weekly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now, including managing timesheets, deductions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state payroll tax laws
Utilize ServiceTitan for managing job-specific financial data (invoicing, payments, job costing), ensuring seamless data flow and integration with the primary ERP system (NetSuite)
Conduct regular bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. Prepare and file all required tax forms, including sales tax, 1099s, W-2s, and quarterly/annual payroll reports (940, 941, TWC)
Track and analyze job costs and profitability within the ServiceTitan system to provide insights to management. Assist with tracking inventory levels and coordinating purchases
Prepare necessary documentation for external audits and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making. Completes assigned accounting and finance projects in a timely manner
Delivers accounting support, ensures compliance with regulations and Company policies
Ensures Company complies with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Maintains knowledge of new and changing tax laws and advises management of potential or actual impacts of financial responsibilities
Prepares Company management, and applicable employees for audits and offers support and guidance during audits
Monitors, supervises, and leads internal and external financial/accounting audits
Works with Company CPA to organize and file taxes: Ensures the maximum possible tax return. Prepares and files federal, state, and local tax returns. Organizes and maintains records of tax payments. Maintains accounting deductions
Assist Divisions in determining the appropriate accounting process for financial transactions
Evaluates current federal and local regulations and suggest policies to diminish financial burdens
Supports Companys vision and mission
Comprehends and supports business culture
Develops, maintains, conducts, and leads monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis reviews and closings
Manages GL codes and job cost data is accurate for assigned divisions, while ensuring compliance
Trains, and provides guidance to other divisions regarding financial and accounting systems, policies, and procedures
Performs other duties as necessary

Associate's or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, with experience in the construction or HVAC / Plumbing industry strongly preferred
Expert-level proficiency in NetSuite (ERP system)
Strong working knowledge of ServiceTitan's accounting functionalities (invoicing, purchase orders, job costing, and reporting)
Experience with ADP Workforce Now for full-cycle payroll processing
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential for analysis and reporting
Preferred
Experience in the construction or HVAC / Plumbing industry strongly preferred
