Warehouse Manager
Razorjack Recruiting/R G Resources, Inc is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all inbound and receiving operations at their Bowling Green Distribution Center. This role involves overseeing a team of 55+ associates and ensuring safe and efficient operations while driving continuous improvement and Lean execution.
Responsibilities
Lead all inbound activities including receiving, returns, put-away, staging, and inventory accuracy
Own dock-to-stock performance and inbound material flow from receipt through storage
Establish, standardize, and continuously improve SOPs and standard work for inbound operations
Balance labor, space, and flow in coordination with outbound operations
Apply Lean principles (standard work, waste elimination, flow optimization, root cause analysis) to inbound operations
Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities within receiving and put-away processes
Promote a culture of daily problem-solving and continuous improvement
Own and report inbound KPIs including:
Dock-to-stock time
Receiving accuracy
Inventory accuracy
Labor productivity
Cost per unit handled
Safety metrics (recordables, near misses)
Use KPI dashboards and daily management tools to identify trends, gaps, and corrective actions
Review weekly performance reports and lead countermeasure development for variances
Lead, mentor, and develop inbound supervisors and warehouse associates
Coach leaders on Lean behaviors, KPI ownership, and accountability
Conduct performance reviews, skills training, and development planning
Manage staffing, scheduling, and overtime to support changing business needs
Champion a safety-first culture supported by daily audits and standard work
Ensure safe operation and maintenance of material handling equipment
Lead safety observations, audits, and corrective actions to maintain compliance
Partner with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Outbound Operations, and DC Leadership
Support new product introductions and inventory transitions
Provide regular KPI-driven updates and improvement plans to the DC Manager
Qualification
Required
5+ years leading heavy inbound / receiving warehouse operations
Proven experience managing supervisors and large hourly teams
Strong working knowledge of Lean warehousing concepts and KPI-driven management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Hands-on, coach-focused leadership style
Preferred
Experience with WMS / inventory systems (SyteLine preferred)
