Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of automotive and heavy equipment
Routine maintenance
Minor mechanical repairs
Completing related tasks as needed to ensure the City’s fleet operates safely and efficiently
Qualification
Required
High school graduation or equivalency
1-2 years experience. Moderate previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions
Valid Arizona Class 'B' Drivers license within 6 months of hire
Possession of 2 Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) Certificates, or ability to obtain within 1 year after date of hire
Background in automotive maintenance
A solid light or heavy-duty equipment maintenance or repair background
The ability to balance the need to be productive and maintain a high standard of quality of work performed
A desire to further one's technical skills in a team learning environment and work on a variety of equipment
Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort
