Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suppliers for technical products
Negotiate terms and manage relationships to secure the best quality, pricing, and availability
Track supplier performance and monitor expenditures
Resolve issues related to quality or delivery
Maintain accurate procurement records
Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies
Collaborate with engineering, operations, service, and sales teams to meet technical requirements
Create RFQs and issue purchase orders
Analyze data and adapt to evolving needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field
5+ years of experience in procurement
Experience with VMI and reporting using key performance indicators
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and database experience
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of inventory management principles
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records
Proactive communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop and implement buying policies and procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and generate meaningful insights
Adaptability and flexibility to changing business needs
Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (a plus)
