Loar Group is seeking an experienced, commercially minded sales leader for one of its operating units located in the midwestern US. The Director, Sales will be responsible for driving sales, developing a global sales team, and implementing strategies to maximize profitability and market share in the aviation aftermarket.

Responsibilities

Responsibility for developing and leading a global sales team, contract sales reps, and distributor partners with the end goal of maximizing profitability through the sale of proprietary solutions into airlines, MROs, and distributors
Create sales strategies that focus on the unique value proposition of the business’ products and services and champion new product launches
Implement KPIs and other metrics at the business unit level to craft a data-driven sales strategy that drives growth for the business and engage regularly at the Loar corporate level to discuss goals, expectations, and results
Drive sales in a highly competitive market by fostering authentic customer relationships to increase market share
Drive pricing strategies, lead customer negotiation, and evaluate existing and pending contracts to position the business for maximum profitability and future growth
Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the General Manager

Required

Minimum of 10 years of direct sales experience in aviation, aerospace, and/or defense. Experience in a growing aftermarket business is highly preferred
Proficiency in data analysis and MS Excel with demonstrated history using data to inform short- and long-term planning
Ability to travel up to 25%-50% for business development opportunities, customer site visits, trade events, and other engagements at the discretion of the General Manager
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, engineering, or a related field required
Demonstrated history of building sales & business development strategies that emphasize unique products and proprietary solutions to drive business growth and profitability

Preferred

Direct sales experience to aviation aftermarket customers is highly preferred
Experience in a growing aftermarket business is highly preferred
MBA is highly preferred
