The Supply Specialist III will oversee operations related to the storage, inspection, and management of excess property, ensuring compliance with state guidelines and effective inventory control.

Responsibilities
Schedules the pick-ups and deliveries of excess property throughout the Department of Motor Vehicle divisions to coincide with a 7.5-hour workday
Operates a state vehicle in performance of pick-up and delivery duties
Responsible for filling out and the filing of all forms related to the Excess Property Section (property transfers, turn-in documents /TID’s) in a neat and orderly manner to ensure proper records management
Handles the disposal of the Agency’s excess property through State Surplus guidelines and the Agency’s guidelines
Responsible for processing and preparing with attention to accuracy all TID’s for the disposal of the Agency’s excess property
Responsible for working with State Surplus to ensure that all transactions are performed to not only their standards, but also the Agency’s standards
Will also be responsible to work with outside Contracted and Non-Contracted Vendors for the disposal of any items that are designated on TID’s as “Junk” by State Surplus
Responsible for working with Records Management and assisting with pick-ups/deliveries of the Agency’s Records throughout the Agency’s Field Offices and as needed assist Records Management with records needs within the Agency’s Headquarters
Responsible for receiving, notifying, decaling, issuing, inventorying, and managing all newly ordered IT equipment stored within the Warehouse under location “Warehouse IT Storage”
Performs other duties as required by the Warehouse Manager or the Warehouse Assistant Manager. All requests for other duties required will be issued orally or in writing
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment
Must have considerable knowledge of supply practices and procedures
Must have knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures
Ability to plan and oversee the work of others
Ability to establish a good working relationship with all divisions within the Agency and with other Agencies and outside Vendors
Must have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
Generally left to perform duties under own discretion
Must be able to make independent decisions as necessary
Will have to work with other divisions in the agency and other state agencies and outside Vendors
Must be able to bend, stoop and lift over 50 pounds
Must have basic computer knowledge
Must have a valid S.C. Driver's License
Ability to drive 12 ft. to 22ft. trucks and forklift/ (order picker)
Employee work hours may include overtime work and limited overnight travel
The person in this position is authorized to operate powered industrial trucks (heavy machinery)
The person in this position is also authorized to use manual pallet jacks, manual push/pull carts, manual hand trucks and ladders
Agency issued steel toe footwear must be always worn in the Warehouse floor area at all times
The work hours for the person in this position are 8:00 to 4:30
