Program Director - Short Term Housing
Hillcrest Children & Family Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the provision of comprehensive, evidence-based mental health services. The Program Director is responsible for program operations, compliance, and outcomes for all short-term housing families, overseeing staff and ensuring contract compliance while managing budgets and relationships with regulatory entities.

Responsibilities
Oversee multidisciplinary staff, manage day-to-day staff coverage needs and operations
Manage budgets within the housing project
Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and site visits, housing authorities, and community partners
Responsible for audit-readiness of participant files and facility safety standards
Lead staff development initiatives, including clinical supervision, trauma-informed care training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high standard of service delivery
Ensure accurate data entry, reporting, and compliance documentation
Facilitate invoicing and audits
Accountable for performance metrics, quality assurance
Rapid problem-solving skills in crisis situations
Ability to work outside of standard business hours, when needed, to assist or manage participant crisis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in human services field; Master's degree preferred
2+ years of experience in behavioral health, housing, or human services; experience working directly with people in a service-oriented field is beneficial; consumer advocacy or self-help group experience preferred
Deep expertise in housing systems, family homelessness, trauma-informed supervision, and government contract management
Sound understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse problems and treatments, including requirements for homeless individuals and family housing
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to supporting a diverse participant population, with a deep respect for the unique life experiences of every individual
Strong organizational, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills with strong decision-making capability
Ability to manage priorities and workflow to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment
Capable of ensuring program stability, regulatory compliance, and high performance outcomes
Good judgment and the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Credible or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is highly desirable
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
