Responsibilities
Greeting and interacting with museum visitors and groups
Processing admission fees
Providing information about the museum, exhibits, programs and satellite locations
Providing customer service to visitors while adhering to all policies and procedures
Processing merchandise transactions in the museum store and helping manage museum store product inventory
Answering telephone calls and providing information about museums, directions, programs, events, hours of operation
Providing tours of permanent and temporary exhibitions
Assisting as a facilitator in the Spark!Lab
Helping to maintain the physical appearance of museum by keeping areas clean and organized
Reporting any custodial needs to the appropriate personnel
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent
One year of customer service experience
Ability to work various shifts including day, evening and weekend hours
Prior experience with cash handling and point-of-sale operations
