Responsibilities

Build an extensive source network among government officials, influential Silicon Valley donors, lobbyists and tech executives seeking to shape government policy and win contracts
Deliver a combination of shorter scoops and newsy feature stories on a regular cadence—between 2 and 3 stories a month
Collaborate widely with The Information’s editors and other reporters, drawing on the collective wisdom and knowledge of Silicon Valley’s most authoritative newsroom
Appear on TITV, The Information’s daily live video show, to discuss your stories and other topics on your beat

Qualification

Required

Proven track record of writing compelling features and breaking news, ideally about politics and tech
A willingness to work closely with editors to craft high-impact stories that live up to The Information's brand of exclusive journalism. You should thrive in an environment in which you will be collaborating closely with editors to deliver the best possible stories
Based in San Francisco, New York or Washington, D.C.; this is a hybrid role with in-office attendance required three days per week for those people living near SF or NY
