Responsibilities
Provide technical direction and leadership across multiple interior projects, ensuring design excellence and alignment with client goals
Monitor and oversee the construction documentation process, including reviewing and approving shop drawings
Analyze building codes, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs
Meet with external contacts, including clients, contractors, and engineers, to identify and resolve problems
Meet with internal contacts, including designers, production staff, project managers, and architect of record to clarify design intent and streamline documentation process
Perform site visits at the construction site to confirm compliance with construction documents
Review and comment on applications for payment and change order requests
Perform code analysis and develop code strategies
Mark up and review shop drawings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's preferred
Registered Architect License required
15+ years of experience in commercial interiors, with a strong background in workplace, commercial, and hospitality projects
Problem solving skills with the ability to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions to complex problems
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of office standards and building codes
Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to lead teams and interact with clients
Preferred
NCARB Certification preferred
AIA membership preferred
LEED AP BD+C accreditation preferred
