Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data architectures including data models, schema designs, and database optimizations
Work with relational and non-relational databases (RDBMS, NoSQL) and data warehousing tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Amazon Redshift
Leverage big data frameworks like Apache Spark and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure for distributed computing and large-scale data processing
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native tools and services
Implement and enforce data governance best practices, including data lineage tracking, quality management, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions
Qualification
Required
15+ years of overall experience in IT, with a strong focus on data architecture and engineering
Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale data systems and architectures
Big Data Frameworks: Apache Spark
Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure
Data Warehousing Tools: Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift
ETL Tools & Processes
Strong understanding of data governance, security protocols, and compliance requirements
Ability to work in agile environments, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or similar cloud/data technologies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering
