Senior Specialist, Quality Engineering

Responsibilities
Identifying, establishing, managing, and monitoring all NDI-related responsibilities, requirements, and budgets for assigned contracts/programs
Serving as the primary point of contact for all NDI-related matters concerning the contract/program
Development and implementation of NDI procedures
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
Conducting inspections to verify the integrity and quality of materials and components
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to support program success
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
Meet qualification requirements for certification to NAS410 Level 2 education and years of experience and certify to Level 2 in five or more methods of NDI per NAS410 plus be certifiable to Level 3 in at least two methods. Other nationally recognized certifications or licenses a plus
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
Be capable of passing DCMA 8210 physical and J1 vision requirements
Provide documented evidence of NAS410 qualification requirements for level 2 certification, prior to employment
Requires strong knowledge of NonDestructive Testing
Be capable of testing and obtaining NDI level 2 certifications within six months of hire date
Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results
Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique / method
Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard
Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and / or supervision to trainees
Ability to understand the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods as used by the employer
Be capable of developing work instructions from approved general procedures
Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology and or aircraft maintenance
Preferred
A&P License or past certificated FAA repairman's
MAUS / AUSS system experience
