Responsibilities
Execute monthly close processes, including journal entries, invoicing, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting and audit readiness
Perform detailed review of revenue and cost transactions for accuracy and completeness
Partner with Client Services to ensure accurate, timely billing and revenue recognition
Work with Business Operations and external vendors to ensure completeness of financial inputs
Help evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that improve accuracy and efficiency
Contribute to ERP and system optimization projects
Support ongoing development of accounting policies and standard operating procedures
Assist with evaluating the reporting impact of new accounting standards
Participate in special projects, including system implementations and scaling initiatives
Identify gaps in current workflows and recommend scalable improvements
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and internal controls
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Momentum’s internal accounting policies
Contribute to audit preparations and external reporting requests
Qualification
Required
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance*
2+ years of hands-on accounting experience, including journal entries and reconciliations*
Experience working in a team environment across multiple functions
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting topics into business language
Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects under deadlines
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and continuous improvement orientation
Preferred
Experience working within ERP system or related business platforms (i.e. Netsuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
