Community Development Officer
EverBank is a nationwide specialty bank providing high-value products and services to consumer and commercial clients. The Community Development Officer is responsible for managing and expanding community development relationships, ensuring compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act, and designing performance analysis dashboards to assess CRA performance.

Responsibilities
Helps establish a detailed CRA Community Development Plan with specifics around calling, market leadership, loan and deposit growth
Engages EverBank employees in company-wide in opportunities for community development services with nonprofit organizations
Facilitates the collection, evaluation, documentation, and organization of all community development lending, investment and service activities
Monitors, maintains, and updates activity and pipeline to provide excellent coverage of community development relationships
Demonstrates and maintains an excellent working knowledge of CRA laws and regulations, financing requirements for large multi-family projects, small business loans, low-income housing tax credits, new markets tax credits, Affordable Housing Programs and Federal Home Loan Bank Programs
Represents the Bank in the community by participating in civic affairs and local and professional organizations to identify and develop new relationships and to enhance the Bank’s image
Brings community development lending opportunities to the commercial lending team and provides assistance in structuring the transactions to ensure approval and CRA credit eligibility
Communicates with non-profit, government agencies, trade associations, public and private groups and individuals relative to community development opportunities
Develops, organizes, and conducts educational efforts on economic development and financial literacy for CDCs and community-based entities
Assesses the Bank’s community development results and collaborates with CRA Officer to recommended changes in Bank products and services to enhance achieving CRA results
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in CRA Compliance with a commercial bank subject to large bank CRA criteria, community development, or nonprofit relationship management
Working knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), including community development lending, investments, and service requirements
Strong organizational, communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage nonprofit, government, and community organizations as well as internal stakeholders
University (Degree) Preferred
3+ Years Required
Preferred
5+ years of experience in CRA community development programs, economic development, or financial services supporting low- to moderate-income communities
Experience analyzing and managing CRA performance data, including dashboards, reporting tools, and documentation processes
Familiarity with complex community development financing structures, such as LIHTC, NMTC, Affordable Housing Programs, or Federal Home Loan Bank products
