Senior Radiation Control Technician
COMPA Industries, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Radiation Control Technician to support high-hazard radiological operations at TA-55. This role serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, responsible for applying radiological controls, supporting complex work activities, and ensuring compliance with 10 CFR 835 and DOE requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform the full scope of RCT support activities for radiological and high-hazard work
Serve as SME for radiological work planning and RWCP development
Ensure proper implementation of radiological controls
Coordinate resources and resolve conflicting operational priorities
Provide technical leadership and guidance to RCT staff and customers
Anticipate and resolve radiological safety issues
Maintain strict compliance with DOE and regulatory requirements
Support shift, weekend, or on-call coverage as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma plus 4–6 years of related RCT experience
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Senior-level RCT knowledge and demonstrated independent decision-making ability
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q Clearance
Ability to meet HRP (Human Reliability Program) requirements
Preferred
Prior DOE / LANL experience
Additional technical training or certifications
Experience supporting nuclear or high-hazard radiological facilities
