Responsibilities
Validate REST/SOAP APIs (Postman, REST Assured, or similar.)
Test data flows across multi-system integrations
Validate message formats, transformations, and routing
Build/maintain automation frameworks using modern tools (Selenium 4+, Playwright, or similar)
Implement test architecture patterns (Page Object Model, Builder, Factory)
Design frameworks with proper abstractions, reusability, and maintainability
Write clean, reviewable test code with appropriate test runners (TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, Jest)
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Configure test execution environments and parallel runs
Work with containers (Docker) for test environment consistency
Write complex SQL for data validation (joins, aggregations, CTEs)
Verify database state, triggers, stored procedures
Test data integrity across transactions and rollbacks
Design test plans covering unit, integration, regression, smoke, E2E
Implement risk-based testing approaches
Create data management test strategies
Perform exploratory testing on complex scenarios
Document defects with clear reproduction, logs, and impact analysis
Analyze system logs, traces, and debugging output
Participate in root cause analysis and postmortems
Qualification
Required
5+ years QA/Test Engineering with demonstrable automation portfolio
Modern UI automation: Playwright, or Selenium 4+ with framework design
API testing: REST Assured, Postman automation, or similar
SQL proficiency: Complex queries, joins, data validation
Git version control: Branching, PRs, merge strategies
CI/CD integration: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines
Test frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, Jest, or equivalent
Manual testing fundamentals: Test case design, boundary analysis, exploratory testing
Defect tracking: JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc
Preferred
BDD frameworks: Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave
Performance testing: JMeter, LoadRunner, K6
Containerization: Docker, Docker Compose
Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS (basic familiarity)
Programming proficiency: Java, C#/.NET, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Monitoring/logging: CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK Stack
Security testing: OWASP fundamentals, penetration testing basics
GraphQL testing
Mobile testing: Appium or similar
Healthcare standards: FHIR, DICOM, PACS
Compliance experience: HIPAA, FDA validation
Experience testing EHR / EMR systems
Knowledge of FHIR or other healthcare interoperability standards
Familiarity with DICOM / PACS workflows
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST clients, etc.)
Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (HIPAA, healthcare SaaS)
Exposure to performance or load testing is a plus
