Responsibilities
Inventory Acquisitions: would be accountable for purchasing decisions and vehicles sourced. This would include the ability to review and analyze vehicle sale actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better optimize inventory planning more effectively
Most of the Specialist’s time will be spent making active outreach to prospects who have their vehicle advertised for sale on multiple online platforms
Resources to acquire inventory will include 3rd party sources and Service Drive customers
The Specialist will enjoy interacting and speaking with customers throughout their day both in person and by phone
This role will also be responsible for identifying potential sales opportunities for the dealership
Review and seek prospects through all sources to identify and engage private parties, current customers, and inbound leads looking to sell their vehicle
Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle conditions, reconditioning costs, arbitrations, transportation, negotiation of price and marketing of vehicles, all through proper analysis and decision making. Required to be knowledgeable in these areas
Use sound judgment, research, and interpersonal skills to make offers and close sales
Work with Management to identify inventory needs
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
Automotive experience with knowledge of used car operations required
Inventory Management and Acquisitions experience is a must
Motivated individual with a passion and drive for success
Establish and maintain professional relationships with store management teams and customers
Understand the retail automotive market, auction sales and trends, pricing, high volume and high gross model, and reconditioning costs
Good computer and communication skills
Professional appearance and positive personality
Good driving record with valid driver's license
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen
