Quality Assurance and Testing Supervisor
California Lottery is a multi-billion-dollar enterprise dedicated to providing supplemental funding to California schools. The Quality Assurance and Testing Supervisor will plan, organize, and direct processes for technical staff while improving standards and ensuring quality in the Lottery's gaming system.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, improve processes and set standards for highly skilled technical staff
Perform the most difficult, complex, technical and/or sensitive work for the California Lottery’s gaming system
Demonstrate expertise connected with staff direction, motivation, achieving targets of delivery and quality
Provide general direction with assignments in terms of broadly defined mission and objectives
Qualification
Required
Current Information Technology Supervisor II exam
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to engage, inspire, empower, develop, and mentor staff
Proficient in supervisory and management principles, practices, and techniques to oversee the work activities of subordinate staff to ensure operation functions effectively
Thorough grasp of time management and prioritization frameworks with the ability to coordinate and oversee multiple competing priorities and assignments
Strong understanding of and experience in requirements analysis, business application testing, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and software testing methodologies
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and quickly respond to urgent matters
Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills to understand and solve complex technology and business problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills inclusive of experience conducting presentations before audiences of all levels and sizes
Experience as a Software Release Coordinator and knowledge using automation and defect tracking tools
