Responsibilities
Support Safety-Labs are adhering to safety policies
Adhering to QC Plan
Communicate with QC Regional Manager and Technical Director daily to review results and any issues throughout the day
Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing
Oversee and direct Lab techs to perform testing as needed
Have a working knowledge of MDOT and governing agency job specs
Ability to perform test procedures relative to job specs in a timely and accurate manner
Promptly report non-compliant test results to QC Regional Manager and Technical Director
Maintain daily record of test results, prepare daily reports and send out
Perform daily housekeeping operations and maintain a clean lab environment
Properly follow all company policies and regulations for a safe working environment
Communicate with plant operators to discuss results and address changes if needed
Daily Moistures
Calibration of Lab Equipment
Cut and test Cores and communicate results to Density Tech and QC Team
Daily Random Numbers for projects
Obtain Daily Asphalt Binder Samples and label properly
Perform other duties as assigned by Technicial Director
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years in QC Technician role
High School diploma
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Strong computer and mathematical skills and problem solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to write correspondence
Ability to adapt to unexpected changes quickly and get a strong game plan on how to address it
QA/QC MDOT Certification
Tim Murphy Superpave Mix Design Certification
