The Washington Capitals Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations for the Marketing department, focusing on fan development initiatives and community programs.

Responsibilities

Support the Marketing team with daily activities, events, and projects

Assist with the planning and execution of all Capitals marketing initiatives including Caps Canines, Kids Club, Alumni Association, events, and promotional schedule

Conceptualize and propose new concepts for various aspects of fan development, experiential marketing, promotions, and theme nights

Develop new and enhance current community programs to be implemented throughout the season

Share creative and innovative ideas for marketing communications including newsletters, sales offers, event messaging, and brand campaigns

Required

Current undergraduate or graduate student

Innovative, independent, and upbeat

Organized, able to prioritize work and problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Passion for live entertainment, promotions, events, and creating experiences

Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including grammatical, spelling, and proofreading abilities

Availability to work 20 hours/week from September through May

Reliable transportation and housing

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) a plus, but not required

Experience shooting and editing photos/video is a plus, but not required
