Ensuring stability, reliability, and automation of production environments for critical applications
Blending traditional production support responsibilities with modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including automation, observability, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of New York, NY or willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

At least 2 years of Information Technology experience
At least 1 years of hands‑on production support experience in a large‑scale, mission‑critical environment
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MySQL, etc.)
Solid Unix/Linux hands‑on experience, including shell scripting for automation
Working knowledge of GitLab (pipelines, CI/CD concepts, code repository management)
Experience in debugging incidents, analyzing logs, and managing production stability
Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder‑management skills
Preferred
Coding exposure in Java or Python (for automation, troubleshooting, or minor enhancements)
Experience in any scripting language (Shell, Python, Perl, JavaScript)
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MemSQL) is a plus
Financial services industry experience
Familiarity with DevOps/SRE tools: monitoring, alerting, observability platforms (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, etc.)
