Business Analyst (Gov't Experience Required)
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Business Analyst with government experience for an on-site opportunity in Columbia, SC. The role involves collaborating with program staff, development teams, vendors, and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, support system configuration, and ensure successful implementation and user readiness.
Responsibilities
Lead program area facilitation, working with staff, development teams, and vendors to prepare for application migration and modernization
Develop and execute test plans, provide feedback, and assist with user training to ensure applications are ready and user-friendly
Analyze existing and target system processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and usability improvements
Serve as a subject matter expert on system functionality, configuration, and migration-related tickets
Support smaller agency projects and participate in meetings to align migration efforts with agency goals and strategies
Qualification
Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience on a year-for-year basis)
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in related roles on government IT projects
5+ years of experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business rules, processes, and requirements
1+ year of hands-on experience with SDLC and SQL database usage
