Responsibilities
Develop and execute the long-term roadmap for IBM i systems supporting casino, hospitality, and key enterprise application environments
Drive modernization initiatives including high availability, IASP optimization and support the transformation of legacy applications
Collaborate with gaming operations, hotel operations, marketing, finance, and executive leadership to deliver technology solutions aligned to operational needs
Oversee day-to-day operations of IBM i servers and applications ensuring uptime for 24/7 operations
Manage system performance, capacity planning, auditing, high availability and disaster recovery for highly regulated gaming platforms
Ensure IBM i systems meet or exceed gaming regulatory controls, internal audit standards, PCI requirements, and cybersecurity best practices
Own policies, documentation, access controls, and operational procedures related to IBM i environments
Lead and mentor a blended team of internal and external IBM i Architects, Engineers, Administrators and Operators
Foster a high‑performance culture with strong accountability, communication, and customer service
Serve as the subject-matter expert for all IBM i–related initiatives, enhancements, and system impacts
Manage vendor relationships with managed service partners and IBM i software vendors
Accepts feedback and coaching from supervisors
Qualification
Required
Must be 21 years of age or older
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Ability to pass background checks, obtain and maintain gaming licenses in required jurisdictions
Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
10+ years of experience with IBM i (AS/400, iSeries, System i) systems
5+ years of leadership experience in IBM I IT operations and enterprise systems management
Strong expertise in CL, SQL, DB2 for i, and IBM i system administration
Experience supporting environments requiring 24/7 uptime, preferably in gaming or hospitality
Demonstrated experience working within strict regulatory, auditing, and security frameworks
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
