Responsibilities

Support global risk assessments and harmonization of standards across regions
Assist in updating global EHS standards, procedures, and guidance documents
Contribute to initiatives related to ISO certification and global compliance alignment
Assist in the development and management of Biogen asset SDS
Support the development of occupational exposure bands/occupational exposure limits for Biogen assets
Assist with development of processes and procedures to manage occupational exposures
Assist in the updating of global standards, procedures, and support documents
Participate in global safety culture programs and recognition initiatives
Support the development and maintenance of Biogen’s SIF prevention program
Assist in the development of program documents and training materials
Assist with data entry and analysis in enterprise systems (myEHS, Veeva, 3E)
Contribute to trend analysis and root cause investigations for global incidents and observations
Join global EHS meetings, workshops, and governance forums
Provide operational and administrative support for strategic projects
Other duties as assigned based on global priorities and intern strengths

Required

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Solid communication skills and comfort working with diverse, global teams
Interest in global EHS programs and continuous improvement
Legal authorization to work in the U.S
At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship
Current enrollment in a degree program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Public Health, Biology, Chemistry, Sustainability, or a related field

Preferred

Familiarity with international EHS standards (ISO 14001/45001), OSHA, EPA, or similar frameworks
Experience with data tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, dashboards)
Creative skills for developing communications and training materials a plus
