Craft strategy, vision and implementation of national programming for CCN’s network of journalism faculty
Manage an ongoing schedule of educational and collaborative projects for UVM’s Center for Community News
Programming includes virtual panels for journalism faculty and media, reporting cohorts organized around specific beats, national and regional events

Qualification

Program managementJournalism experienceContent management systemsNonprofit networkingProject managementOrganizational skillsCommunication skills

Required

Three to five years of experience managing complex multi-year programs for a nonprofit, college, or newsroom
At least two years spent as a working journalist
Familiarity with basic web site content management systems, news platforms, digital reporting trends, and news landscape research

Preferred

Highly organized
Experience building nonprofit networks or audiences
Knowledge of higher education
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain communications with faculty, staff, and student participants
