Senior Tax Accountant
The Boler Company® is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to manage the preparation and review of worldwide taxes, ensuring compliance and effective tax planning. This role involves working closely with various teams to support financial and tax reporting obligations while advising management on tax strategies and opportunities for savings.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review the US tax returns and international tax returns as well as underlying processes to ensure all reporting obligations are satisfied in an accurate and timely fashion:
Assist with Federal, state and local income and franchise tax return filings, inclusive of related tax planning items such as R&D tax credit, Section 199 deduction and other available federal and state/local tax incentives. Ensure that all relevant disclosures are made
Manage calculations of foreign tax credits, earnings and profits, Subpart F income, and foreign source income. Review Forms 5471, 8858 and 1118
Manage the identification of sales eligible for IC-DISC and manage analysis to complete Form 1120-IC DISC
Prepare calculations for extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments. Responsible for all tax return data gathering from internal and external data sources
Monitor tax department technology tools, including tax compliance and research packages, and coordinate additional training when needed
Prepare and review the global tax accounting provision, including the reporting of income tax contingencies, deferred tax analyses and return to provision true-up reviews
Identify, evaluate, and advise management on the income tax consequences of domestic and international legislative developments, as well as current and proposed transactions. Prepare and/or review written analyses and participate in the assessment and communication of tax strategies and risks in accordance with foreign and domestic accounting and tax requirements. Identify opportunities for securing additional tax savings in connection with global operations and investments
Identify, evaluate, and advise management on the tax efficient repatriation of foreign earnings, minimization of Subpart F income, and effective utilization of foreign tax credits
Identify, research, and implement tax planning strategies with the overall goal of reducing the Company’s/stockholders’ effective tax rate
Coordinate with tax advisors and Company operating groups to ensure proper documentation for the Company’s cross-border transactions as well as support of other tax related attributes, including earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, book and tax differences, etc
Maintain appropriate documentation of tax expenditures/distributions for cash flow planning
Assist the VP, Corporate Tax and Director, Corporate Tax in developing a successful strategy through strong leadership skills. Implement standards and goals, ensuring they support the organization's business plans
Participate in department and interdepartmental planning and work cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization
Assist in projects that have short-to-long-term focus
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from four-year college/university
2-5 years' experience in related field
Experience working with pass-through entities and/or closely held companies
Excellent documentation skills: ability to document, analyze and present information in report form, either narrative or spreadsheet
Strong analytical and research skills required. Must be able to identify income tax issues, gather relevant facts, research using various tax resources and apply law to various fact patterns
Effective communication skills: must be able to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders as well as outside advisors
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. An ability to comfortably interact with both clients and staff, and present complex ideas
Strong organizational and documentation skills: must design and/or maintain systems that document analysis and present information in report form, either narrative or spreadsheet
Have a “can-do” attitude with exceptionally strong critical thinking skills and the flexibility to work in a complex organizational structure
Comply with all company policies, procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements
Excellent follow-through and unquestioned ethical behavior
Preferred
MST or CPA preferred
Law degree a plus
Public accounting experience (preferably Big 4) a plus but not required
Computer skill requirements including intermediate MS Office, OneSource income tax and Alteryx experience preferred, but not required
