Tech Business Analyst Prin (Portfolio Analyst)

Responsibilities
Perform portfolio demand management activities, including intake, assessment, scoping, and prioritization
Partner with PMO, Finance, Corporate Planning & Budgeting, and Accounting to ensure accurate funding and accounting compliance
Create, track, and validate financial artifacts including work orders, purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices
Analyze and document the financial landscape across portfolios, providing visibility into spending and investment performance
Collaborate with leadership and project managers to prepare business cases and portfolio proposals
Facilitate cross-functional discussions on dependencies, risks, capacity, and prioritization
Apply advanced business analysis techniques to assess and improve business processes and workflows
Ensure portfolio roadmaps align with enterprise standards and strategic goals
Mentor other analysts and support continuous improvement of portfolio processes
Provide insights on investment performance, optimization strategies, and risk management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; OR associate's degree + 2 years relevant experience; OR High school diploma/GED + 4 years relevant experience
At least 7 years of relevant business or portfolio analysis experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience with accounting or finance rules, cost structures, and funding models
Understanding of capital/expense classification and financial reporting
Familiarity with portfolio management frameworks and methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to document business processes and workflows
Comfort with data analysis and basic querying (SQL or equivalent)
Understanding of enterprise applications and system integrations
Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Customer-focused, results-driven, and accountable
Project Management or Business Analysis training
Experience with BA methodologies
Financial systems experience
Experience with ServiceNow, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio
Experience with Power BI
