The Sorting Specialist will support battery sorting operations at the USA Parkway facility, ensuring smooth production by handling materials and operating automated sorting equipment in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities
Handle, move, and sort live batteries and associated packaging using forklifts and other material-handling equipment
Operate and support automated sorting equipment by feeding materials, monitoring performance, making routine adjustments, and escalating issues as needed
Ability to comply with all safety and PPE requirements, including wearing a fitted respirator for the full shift
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualification
Required
Handle, move, and sort live batteries and associated packaging using forklifts and other material-handling equipment
Operate and support automated sorting equipment by feeding materials, monitoring performance, making routine adjustments, and escalating issues as needed
Ability to comply with all safety and PPE requirements, including wearing a fitted respirator for the full shift
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Complete a respiratory fit test and medical evaluation and wear a fitted respirator for the full shift
Stand for extended periods (more than 80% of the shift)
Climb stairs and ladders and work at heights
Stoop, bend, push, pull and perform repetitive physical tasks
Operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery
Lift and carry up to 50 lb
Demonstrated compliance with written and verbal instructions
Strong commitment to safety and following PPE requirements, including respirator use while working
Preferred
Prior work in a warehouse or around continuously operating equipment is preferred
Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on safe work practices
Ability to accurately identify and sort materials while performing repetitive tasks with consistency
Forklift experience strongly preferred
