The Administrative Assistant role is crucial for the smooth operation of the school, serving as the main point of contact for students and staff, while managing attendance, records, and supporting school events.

Responsibilities
Ensure accurate daily student attendance by generating reports, contacting parents regarding absences, and promptly updating student records. Also, ensure teacher attendance and plan class coverage through a third-party partner
Ensure a warm welcome upon entry and ensure safety and security by maintaining awareness of everyone in the building at all times, allowing entry only to students, staff, parents, and scheduled visitors, ensuring all arrivals after school begins to sign in and out correctly, answering phone calls, monitoring students in the lobby, maintaining cleanliness, and accepting and delivering packages
Maintain student info confidentiality, manage student records such as cume files, attendance records, etc
Distribute loaner laptops, chargers, and headphones to students while recording their loan and return; communicate repair needs with the Principal and schedule repairs; brainstorm and communicate improvements in school aesthetics and efficiencies; find budget-friendly alternatives for supplies, review and get supply orders approved by the Principal, purchase supplies and save PDF invoices, update and monitor categorized expenses, provide IT support for PowerSchool SIS and support teachers and the Administrative team as needed
Assist in the organization, set-up, and implementation of school events, including up to 6 evening events a year
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Knowledge of Canva
Knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Surveys, Slides)
Knowledge of Powerschool (SIS platform)
Basic IT support skills
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Adaptability and excitement about being part of a founding team at a new school
Readiness to go above and beyond, including putting in extra time in and outside of your role
