Responsibilities
Assist in designing, developing, and implementing Java-based applications
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior developers
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within a secure environment
Perform unit testing and assist with integration testing
Collaborate with a remote team using Agile/Scrum methodologies
Adhere to strict security protocols and data handling procedures as mandated by the clearance level
Troubleshoot and resolve basic software defects and issues
Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications
Qualification
Required
Must possess an active U.S. Secret security clearance (at time of application)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Foundational knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
Basic understanding of software development concepts, data structures, and algorithms
Ability to work effectively in a 100% remote, collaborative team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Academic or project experience with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot) is a plus
Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is beneficial
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices
