Senior Software Engineer
SBQuantum is a seed-stage startup at the forefront of magnetic sensing innovation, seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help strengthen their software capabilities. The role involves backend development, implementing algorithms, and integrating machine learning models into production systems.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and scale backend services that power our quantum sensor solutions
Translate complex physics algorithms into efficient, production-ready software
Integrate and deploy machine learning models into real-world applications
Collaborate with data scientists, physicists, and hardware engineers to bridge theory and practice
Establish coding standards, testing frameworks, and DevOps practices to scale our systems
Help recruit, mentor, and grow the engineering team as we scale
Qualification
Required
Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with Python, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and distributed systems
Ability to understand and implement algorithms based on physics and scientific principles
Experience with deploying data science pipelines or ML models into production systems
A self-starter who thrives in early-stage environments, comfortable wearing many hats, and excited about building from scratch
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with interdisciplinary teams (scientists, engineers, product)
Desire and ability to help grow and mentor a team over time
Proficiency in French and English is an asset
Preferred
Experience with scientific computing, numerical methods, or signal processing
Familiarity with Android native development
Background in working with sensor data, real-time data processing, or IoT systems
Previous startup experience
