Responsibilities
Ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and financial controls for 5 entities
Deliver accurate management accounts and consolidated reporting to tight deadlines
Ensure all books and records are up to date and compliant
Oversight of VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance
Manage year-end reporting and statutory audit processes
Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts
Revenue recognition execution including WIP and accrued income calculations
FX accounting and intercompany reconciliation
Ownership of balance-sheet integrity
Introduce and manage robust forecasting and budgeting processes
Ownership of accounting systems and process improvement
Implementation of a new expense management system
Integration of Salesforce for expense and revenue linkage
Improved timesheet tracking for project-based revenue
Support ongoing efforts to streamline processes and reporting through better system integration and controls
Manage and mentor a small finance team (3 direct reports):
Build structure, accountability, and upskilling within the team
Qualification
Required
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven track record in management and statutory accounting for multi-entity or international businesses
Strong knowledge of multi-currency consolidations and FX exposure management
Prior experience working in a less structured, hands-on SME environment
Able to hit the ground running and bring immediate rigour to processes
Experience working in a professional service environment
Strong data interpretation and soft skills
Preferred
Experience with ERP implementation or system change
Exposure to Salesforce
