Responsibilities
Generate an average of 2 estimates per week for industrial piping & ammonia refrigeration projects producing accurate, timely takeoffs and pricing
Translate drawings into scope : review plans, visualize the full job, and quantify piping/refrigeration materials and labor
Partner across the ecosystem : meet face‑to‑face with clients; coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to build complete, documented scopes
Drive the pipeline : maintain steady quote volume (~4 active projects/month) and communicate progress to keep workloads balanced and the division growing
Collaborate, then hand off : create estimates and support proposals; sales owns the final presentation and post‑bid follow‑up
Utilize : Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint (daily); AutoCAD, Procore
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of estimating experience in industrial piping and/or industrial refrigeration
Proven ability to quote pipe and industrial scopes confidently and accurately
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and visualize full scope from drawings
Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration (system design & estimation principles)
Strong organization across multiple concurrent estimates with competing priorities
Excellent client‑facing communication (verbal, written, and presentation)
