Responsibilities
Serve as the primary lead managing external engineering firms, consultants, and specialist contractors across project lifecycles
Define scopes of work, technical deliverables, schedules, and quality expectations
Coordinate and prioritize third-party engineering analyses across multiple disciplines
Review and provide technical feedback on external engineering work products to ensure accuracy and completeness
Act as the interface between external partners and internal engineering, project delivery, licensing, and operations teams
Monitor partner performance using metrics, quality reviews, and schedule tracking
Support contract governance in collaboration with Legal and Project Controls
Establish governance frameworks including milestones, reporting cadence, quality gates, and change control
Improve external engineering engagement processes and documentation standards
Support risk and scenario analyses related to external technical dependencies and integration challenges
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Structural, Systems, or similar)
5–10 years of experience in technical project leadership or engineering coordination in complex, high-tech or industrial environments
Track record managing external engineering firms on complex projects
Strong ability to review and interpret technical analyses and engineering deliverables
Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience developing scopes of work and governance frameworks for external contracts
Ability to align cross-functional teams and drive high-quality, on-time delivery
Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset
Preferred
Familiarity with engineering tools, document control, and QA standards is a plus
