Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Workday Financial Management solutions
Serve as the subject matter expert for:
General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Design and optimize Workday financial data structures, including:
Business processes
Worktags (Cost Centers, Companies, Ledger Accounts, etc.)
Financial reporting framework
Partner with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions
Oversee integrations, reporting, and data flows related to Workday Financials
Provide guidance on best practices, security, controls, and compliance within Workday Financials
Lead and mentor junior Workday consultants and functional analysts
Support post-production issues, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
6+ years of Workday experience with a strong focus on Extensibility
Proven hands-on experience with: Custom Business Objects (CBOs)
Calculated fields and advanced reporting
Deep knowledge of Workday Data Cloud backend configuration
Strong understanding of Workday data architecture and security framework
Experience supporting data extraction and consumption for analytics and integrations
Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
6+ years of Workday Integration experience
Expert proficiency in: Workday Web Services (SOAP & REST)
RaaS and advanced Workday reporting
API configuration and management
Strong hands-on experience with: Workday Studio
EIB and Core Connectors
Solid understanding of Workday data model and security framework
Experience integrating Workday with third-party systems (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
10+ years of overall ERP/Financial systems experience
7+ years of hands-on Workday Financial Management experience
Expert-level knowledge of: Workday Financials (GL, AP, AR)
Workday data model and financial architecture
Proven experience in end-to-end Workday Financial implementations
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
Workday Extensibility or Reporting certification(s)
Experience with Prism Analytics, Data Cloud, or Workday Extend
Exposure to cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience in large-scale or multi-tenant Workday environments
Workday Integration certification(s)
Experience with middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Dell Boomi, etc.)
Exposure to CI/CD or automation in Workday integrations
Workday Financials certification(s)
Experience leading large-scale or multi-entity Workday Financial deployments
Exposure to integrations (EIB, Studio, APIs) and advanced reporting
