Financial Data Scientist II/ III
Williams is a company dedicated to making clean energy happen, and they are seeking a Financial Data Scientist to maintain and improve enterprise performance management and financial reporting systems. The role involves collaborating with end-users and technical teams to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Connects with end-users to understand their processes and data needs including areas such as financial statement preparation, SEC reporting, FERC reporting, and Expense and Capital reporting
Works with other technical groups to ensure user data requirements are collected and being worked by technical resources within F&A and IT
Collaborates with various functional and technical teams throughout the organization to identify and resolve system issues, with a dedication to ongoing process improvement
Other duties as assigned
Accounts for ongoing basic maintenance, trouble-shooting, and improvements of Oracle EPM and Analytics cloud applications
Updates hierarchies and logic scripts, monitors workflows, and trouble-shoots as the need arises
Connects with end-users to understand their processes and data needs including areas such as financial statement preparation, SEC reporting, FERC reporting, and Expense and Capital reporting
Works with other technical groups to ensure user data requirements are collected and being worked by technical resources within F&A and IT
Collaborates with various functional and technical teams throughout the organization to identify and resolve system issues and strive for improvements

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related business field
a minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Financial Models and Reporting tools
Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
Proficiency in reporting and automation tools such as Essbase, Planning, Power BI, Power Automate, and RPA technologies
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related business field
a minimum of two (2) years of similar experience
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
Strong desire to learn data analytics or data science
Familiarity with reporting and automation tools such as Essbase, Planning, Power BI, Power Automate, and RPA technologies
Working knowledge of Oracle EPM applications, Essbase and Azure databases, interfaces, and reporting tools such as BI tools, Dodeca, and Oracle Smartview
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, statutory reporting requirements, and financial data flows and processes
Preferred
experience with accounting processes including expense reports, property accounting, and/or projects reporting
Some experience working in financial models or accounting processes
