Director of Spacecraft Mission Operations
Quantum Space is redefining mobility and maneuverability in space, and they are seeking a Director of Spacecraft Mission Operations to lead mission operations planning and execution for advanced space systems. This role involves ensuring operational readiness, managing ground systems, and leading mission operations personnel to ensure mission continuity and performance.

Responsibilities
Lead planning and development of spacecraft missions, ensuring alignment with operational goals
Manage ground systems, including mission control and communications systems, to support spacecraft operations
Establish processes for real-time anomaly detection, response, and resolution
Lead and mentor mission operations personnel, including training and performance management
Own mission operations documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational readiness reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
10+ years of spacecraft operations experience, including leadership responsibilities
Experience with mission planning, real-time operations, and anomaly response processes
Experience managing ground systems and operational interfaces
Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, mission-driven environment
To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual per 8 U.S. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
Experience with national security space missions or high-availability operations
Experience building mission operations teams and processes from the ground up
Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
