Responsibilities
Plan and direct land survey projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform and oversee tasks including: Well Connect Pipeline Surveys, Well Head Staking, Pipeline Route Staking and As-built Surveys, Construction and Topographical Surveys, Boundary and ALTA Surveys
Operate Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Stations, and utilize Trimble Field Software efficiently
Proficient use of AutoCAD Civil3D 2014 for creating precise designs
Interpret and apply engineering plans to ensure accuracy
Maintain quality standards in survey notes, point descriptions, and calculations
Collaborate directly with clients to meet project scopes and deadlines
Provide field documentation for survey crews
Guide and oversee survey crews and CAD Technicians
Organize project files and maintain documentation for smooth project delivery
Assist other departments by training team members on TBC, data processing, and drafting standards
Ensure billable time remains above 75%, and manage deadlines for timely deliverables
Supervise the preparation of client deliverables, ensuring they meet quality assurance standards
Maintain a high standard in work orders, control, and datum setup
Manage workload and maintain communication with managers to ensure efficient project completion
Evaluate project efficiency and implement strategies to improve field and office processes
Conduct survey research, including reading and writing legal descriptions
Understand and apply state and local survey regulations
Document surveying decisions for future reference and training
Qualification
Required
5+ years of field experience in surveying
3+ years of CAD experience
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
Preferred
Post-secondary training in CAD is a plus
