Responsibilities
Partner with the product team to translate the vision into a theoretical multi-scale modeling framework
Manage the biophysical modeling team
Oversee the design and evolution of the multi-scale biophysical model increments into the overall platform
Transition tested increments to the Pilot and Software Development teams for full integration and scalability
Qualification
Required
Master's in computational biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering, biophysics, mathematics, or related field
8+ years of experience with agent-based models or physics-based models
5+ years of experience managing a scientific team of 5 or more people
2+ years of experience working with a product management team to facilitate the translation of product requirements into scientific specifications
2+ years of experience with at least 2 additional modeling frameworks: logical models, genome-scale metabolic models, QSP models
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills
Desire to work on a highly complex infrastructure that requires tight integration and communication with the computational and experimental scientists and software developers
