Responsibilities
Conduct technical review of high voltage transmission line designs (34kV – 500kV)
Perform analysis/modeling of wood, steel, and lattice structures
Prepare construction plan documents as required per project
Perform QA/QC reviews of all work product
Assist with the preparation of proposals
Interface with client’s engineering groups and project management team to provide regular and timely updates
Perform site visits when necessary
Take a lead role in growing the Welty Energy Transmission Line Engineering team
Mentor and assist in the professional development of junior engineering staff
Provide technical assistance to the Welty Energy Project Management Team
Consult on internal projects when requested by the PM, Portfolio Manager, or Executive Vice President
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering at an ABET accredited university is preferred
6-10+ years of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer well versed in design engineering of high voltage transmission lines (34kV – 500kV)
PE license advantageous
Comfortable with Travel: 15-20% travel (project specific)

Collaborate with the Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment
