Responsibilities

You will be an important part of a high-performing software team, collaborating with fellow Software engineers, Scrum Masters, Product owners, Software Architects and other teams, support requirements decomposition and derivation to produce Software Requirements, responsible for producing high quality mission critical software
You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers/interns, be responsible for providing direct support to stakeholders, answering questions and solving technical issues
Lead and participate in code and related artifacts peer reviews

Required

3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Development using Java with the ability to create complex software designs based on customer's requirements
3+ years of experience with development tool sets, including Jira, Git, Visual Studio Code
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Secret - Current security clearance status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Preferred

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
Experience with requirements analysis, requirements decomposition and derivation, UML, SysML, MBSE and CAMEO Modeling tools, virtualization, pub/subs bus such as ActiveMQ, DDS, implementing Graphical User Interfaces with Java frameworks, such as Swing or JavaFx
Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Software Development for DoD contracts
Knowledge of microservices, containers and orchestrators, OMS, DevSecOps and CI/CD
