Repair Technician 3
New York Air Brake is seeking a Repair Technician 3 to monitor the function of test code parts and instruct fellow employees on assembly errors. The role involves understanding the testing process, performing hazardous waste management duties, and adhering to quality and safety policies.

Responsibilities
Monitor the function of each test code part
Understand the testing process when valves fail
Instruct and demonstrate other employees when there are assembly errors
Perform hazardous waste management duties as necessary. Annual hazardous waste management will be completed. Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Ground Shipper will be completed every three (3) years
Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies
Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations
Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions
Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree
Qualification
Required

Technical Capacity
Proficient in all Level 1 and Level 2 Skills
Proficient in understanding the test code
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
Ability to understand what part of the valve is affected when failing tests
Ability to complete rack repairs on a timely basis on failing valves
Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory
Good mechanical skills
Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices
Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills
Communication Proficiency
Organization Skills
Time Management
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
One to Two years of related experience
