Responsibilities
Managing a complete and thorough month end close process
Ensuring full compliance and improvement to site Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Being a strong example of integrity and ‘Doing the Right Thing
Noting and appropriately mitigating business risks
Proactively seeking and improving any deficiencies
Framing financial and operational issues in a complete business case format and positively contributing to the strategic direction in the Site
Driving negotiations with key vendors either directly or via partnering with procurement
Leading and/or participating in presentations to DC employees, DC management
Accepting responsibility for plant accounting operations as well as financial and operations management
Preparing and managing actual, forecast, and budget scenarios throughout the course of the year
Analyzing and interpreting plant performance, evaluating variances and assessing the effects on site results
Providing management with the strategic tools and reports to drive business results
Serving as project manager on cost reduction initiatives, working cross functionally with engineers, procurement, and site operators to drive cost reductions
Qualification
Required
BS in Accounting or Finance with strong analytical skills (CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus but not necessary)
Minimum 5 years of Experience in Finance, Accounting, Auditing
Inventory related experience a plus
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate, aggregate, filter, and summarize large data sets into actionable insights
Ability to present and communicate at all levels with self-confidence
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally and across business boundaries to solve issues and drive projects to completion
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of Hyperion HFM and SAP or their equivalent SAP, Ariba experience preferred
Preferred
CPA, CMA, or MBA
