Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join their Industrial Engineering team. The intern will work on various projects, including time studies, engineering support for projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Time Studies to gain support for future projects

Time studies needed for labor balancing and equipment optimization for in process projects

Engineering support for sustaining projects related to tooling and equipment

Engineering support for in process Capital Budget projects

Engineering support for continuous improvement projects

Ergonomics investigations

Connected Manufacturing activity support

Drone flights to support business needs

Qualification

Engineering program enrollmentMS Office skillsProblem-solving skillsIndustrial tools knowledgeSelf-directed work abilityFlexibility in shiftsTechnical communication skills

Required

Currently enrolled in an Engineering program

Completed their sophomore year of college

Strong MS Office skills required. Specifically: Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Proven problem-solving skills are required

Preferred

Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills

Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools and power tools

Ability to work in a self-directed environment

Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift

3.0 GPA or higher
